Service Now Global Solution Architect
- Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of Service Now modules in compliance with required system processes and procedures.
- Provide functional expertise and act as product advocate to lead implementation of ITIL processes within the Service Now platform.
- Assume full ownership of projects ranging from planning and resourcing to implementation, solution design, development, testing, and handover to support teams.
- Assist in development of project estimates, contribute to defining project timelines, plans, and milestones.
- Instruct, assign, and review the work of other team members, including high‑level designs, detailed designs, code, test plans and results.
- Apply expertise in IT Operations Management (ITOM), Integrated Risk Management (IRM), Third Party Risk Management (TPRM), Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD), Software Asset Management (SAM), Hardware Asset Management (HAM), IT Service Management (ITSM), and Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
- Define solutions and translate architecture blueprints into solution components with a focus on business benefit and value.
- Define architectural strategies and patterns commonly used within Service Now.
- Collaborate with process owners to understand detailed requirements and design, implement, test, and deliver high‑quality products to users.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of new products and features while enhancing the existing product suite.
- Implement IT Service Management, Enterprise Service Management, Asset and Configuration Management using Flow Designer, UI Builder, and native configuration/customization.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues, providing expert guidance to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Collaborate with peers and stakeholders to frame, structure, and prioritize business data needs.
- Maintain and improve knowledge sharing across the team, including code reviews, mentoring, and coaching.
- Deliver projects consistently on schedule and within budget, proactively managing issues and risks with well‑defined mitigation plans.
- Ensure solutions meet technical and functional requirements and perform to expected standards.
- Manage enterprise data analytics solutions, process improvements, and build creative solutions in collaboration with subject matter experts.
- Minimum education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or related field with 9 years of Service Now architecture experience; OR Master’s degree with 7 years of experience. - Strong technical expertise across Service Now modules, including IT Operations Management, Integrated Risk Management, Third Party Risk Management, Human Resources Service Delivery, Software Asset Management, Hardware Asset Management, IT Service Management, and Configuration Management Database.
- Demonstrated knowledge of CMDB, Catalog Service, Flow Designer, UI Builder, and IT Service Management configuration/customization.
- Experience with JavaScript, JSON, XML, CSS, HTML, REST APIs, Scoped application development, Custom APIs, Integration Hub, and Service Graph Connector implementation.
- Knowledge of databases, tables, attributes, and relationships.
- Experience managing stakeholders and collaborating with cross‑functional teams, including infrastructure, network, information security, enterprise applications, and business users.
- Experience with Release Upgrade Lifecycle Management and project oversight.
- Pay range for California: $190,819 – $250,950, subject to experience and variable pay program participation.
- Participation in Hitachi America’s variable pay program (subject to program conditions and restrictions).
