Principal Economist, GTM Science

Overview

For our client, we are seeking a Principal Economist GTM Science to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will support revenue growth through customer focus, relationship development, and disciplined commercial execution. You will collaborate with sales, customer, product, and operational partners to identify opportunities, solve problems, and improve outcomes. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen market execution, customer relationships, and measurable business results within a technology-driven environment.

Location:

Santa Clara, CA. US-based candidates only; no visa sponsorship available.

Compensation: $211,000 – $338,000 annually.

• Own the Go-To-Market Causal Measurement Strategy, partnering with senior executives for actionable insights.
• Design and deploy advanced causal models to isolate performance metrics from market noise.
• Quantify incremental impacts on sales and resource allocation for executive decision-making.
• Establish robust data pipelines in collaboration with Data Engineering and Analytics to support business planning.
• Transform complex econometric findings into strategic recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.

• PhD in Economics, Econometrics, or a quantitative discipline preferred.
• Deep grounding in causal inference methodologies.
• Advanced proficiency in R, Python, or similar statistical environments.
• Experience in deploying production-grade causal analyses with complex datasets.
• Exceptional ability to communicate complex insights to corporate leaders.
• Must work from the Santa Clara, CA office, per company policies.
