Senior Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) Platform Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) with deep hands-on experience deploying, administering, upgrading, and scaling Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) in large, distributed enterprise environments. This is a platform engineering role, not an automation developer role.

The ideal candidate will have owned the complete lifecycle of the AAP platform—including architecture, installation, upgrades, high availability, disaster recovery, security, integrations, governance, and operational support. You will be responsible for building and maintaining a highly available enterprise automation platform used by infrastructure, cloud, and application teams.

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise-scale Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) environments.
• Own the complete platform lifecycle including installation, upgrades, patching, migrations, and capacity planning.
• Build highly available and scalable AAP clusters across multiple environments.
• Configure and administer Automation Controller (Tower), Automation Hub, Private Automation Hub, Execution Environments, and Automation Mesh
  .
• Implement platform governance including RBAC, authentication, credential management, inventories, organizations, projects, job templates, and workflow templates.
• Integrate AAP with enterprise authentication services such as LDAP, Active Directory, and SSO
  .
• Build and maintain Execution Environments using container technologies.
• Integrate AAP with Git Hub/Git Lab, CI/CD pipelines, ITSM platforms, APIs, and enterprise infrastructure.
• Monitor platform health, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize platform performance.
• Develop standards, best practices, documentation, and operational procedures.
• Partner with Linux, Windows, VMware, Cloud, Network, and Security teams to enable enterprise automation.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to automation engineers and platform users.

• 7+ years of Linux Systems Engineering or Platform Engineering experience.
• 4+ years of hands‑on experience with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) administration.
• Extensive experience deploying and managing:
• Automation Mesh
• Execution Environments
• Strong experience installing, upgrading, patching, backing up, and restoring AAP environments.
• Experience implementing High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), and platform scaling.
• Expert knowledge of Ansible playbooks, roles, collections, inventories, and workflows.
• Strong Python scripting skills.
• Experience with Git, Git Hub, or Git Lab.
• Experience with REST APIs and automation integrations.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
