AboutThe Role
As a CBRE Space Planning Consultant and CAFM Specialist, you will lead the delivery of space planning, data analysis, and reporting for high-profile clients. You will serve as a key advisor, providing strategic recommendations and solutions to optimize space utilization and meet client needs. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will lead the technical management of our global facility systems.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Own space data integrity end to end: the pipeline from architectural drawings through to space records, occupancy reporting, and downstream systems
- Serve as the primary CAFM point of contact for the Americas region, managing day-to-day platform operations, user support, and issue resolution across all sites
- Maintain Americas-specific space data — floor plans, space assignments, headcount allocations, and move records — ensuring records are current and aligned with real estate transactions and workplace changes
- Partner with Americas regional Office Managers to gather requirements and translate local business needs into CAFM configuration, workflows, and reporting
- Manage complex AutoCAD drawing sets, author and enforce CAD standards (layer conventions, polylining, file naming, QC checklists)
- Develop reporting and dashboards for space utilization, occupancy, and chargeback — both within the CAFM platform and through BI tools
- Train and mentor regional CAFM colleagues, junior staff, and external vendors on standards, data governance, and platform use
- Act as technical lead in vendor relationships — requirements definition, escalations, release evaluation, and security or privacy review
- Partner with Real Estate, Planning, Design, IT, HR, and EH&S to translate business needs into system and data solutions, and communicate technical detail credibly at every level of the organization
- Administering a CAFM or IWMS platform — for example Office Space, Serraview, TRIRIGA, Archibus, or FM:
Systems — as the system owner or administrator, not solely as an end user - and an architectural background — degree in Architecture or a related field, or equivalent experience producing and interpreting full drawing sets
- Demonstrated ownership of space data quality at scale, including the drawing-to-space-record workflow and space measurement standards such as BOMA and USF
- Strong reporting skills: advanced Excel
- Ability to work across time zones with regional teams and global stakeholders
- Scripting or automation experience — AutoLISP, VBA, or Power Automate — applied to drawing cleanup, data validation, or reporting
- Experience leading a CAFM or IWMS migration from legacy platform to new, including phased rollout across multiple sites or regions
- Prior work in a large corporate real estate or workplace technology organization with a global portfolio
- Familiarity with occupancy sensor technology, badge data, or desk booking and hot desking platforms
- Background at a CAFM vendor or implementation partner
