The Senior Service & Repair Planner will be responsible for end‑to‑end planning of Field Service Engineers’ Spare Parts and Repair Units (FRUs), maintaining inventory and forecasting for global service locations. The role involves coordinating with cross‑functional partners, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring customer service targets are met.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deploy servicing/repair planning and inventory management processes for on‑site, FSL, and trunk locations.
- Generate forecasts and update the FRU model to support demand planning.
- Maintain material master data for service‑related items.
- Process Field Service Engineer requests and orders, and oversee Return Material Authorizations (RMAs).
- Participate in global cycle counts and ensure accurate inventory records.
- Create and track Repair Orders from initiation to completion.
- Achieve service planning metrics such as inventory ($), Slow Moving/Obsolete (SLOB), and customer uptime.
- Identify and initiate planning scenarios to support decision making.
- Communicate business‑related issues or opportunities to management.
- Develop analytical tools for issue resolution and execution oversight.
- Identify and drive improvements of the FRU model.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Build strong collaborative relationships with Service & Repair, Finance, Engineering, and Supply Chain stakeholders.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred. - Minimum 4 years experience in supply chain, service operations, or repair planning.
- Proven experience with service replenishment planning, forecasting, and inventory control, preferably in a global or multi‑plant environment.
- Experience managing spare parts, repair orders, and field inventory for capital service & repair planning.
- Strong cross‑functional teamwork, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Adaptability to rapidly changing priorities and strong priority management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and analytical/quantitative skills.
- Knowledge of end‑to‑end supply chain interactions, MRP/APS, ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics).
- Preferred:
Experience in healthcare or regulatory‑dependent sectors; SAP S4/HANA or Microsoft Dynamics expertise; track record of challenging the status‑quo and delivering value.
Up to 15% domestic and international travel may be required.
Compensation & BenefitsBase Pay: $91,000 – $147,200 annually (subject to compensation plan). Eligible for long‑term incentive program and Company retirement and savings plans.
