We are looking for a Production/Supply Chain Coordinator at a semiconductor manufacturing company in Santa Clara, CA.

Position Summary

The Production & Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for managing production schedules and delivery commitments to meet customer requirements. This position requires close daily communication with customers, company's production planning team in Japan, and internal engineering and sales teams. Strong communication skills and the ability to analyze and manage order and demand data are essential.

In addition to supporting continuous improvement initiatives throughout the supply chain, this role is expected to take a leadership role in identifying potential issues, implementing corrective actions, and driving improvements in customer satisfaction.

Essential Responsibilities Production Planning & Delivery Coordination
  • Consolidate customer orders, delivery requests, and information from the Engineering and Sales teams to determine required products, production volumes, and delivery schedules for the production planning team in Japan.
  • Participate in production planning meetings with the Japan headquarters to coordinate production schedules and delivery commitments.
  • Communicate daily with the production planning team in Japan to ensure customer delivery requirements are met.
  • Prepare delivery schedule reports and communicate delivery commitments to customers.
  • Participate in customer meetings regarding delivery schedules, providing updates while negotiating and coordinating delivery dates as needed.
  • Accurately identify customer requirements, proactively determine necessary actions, and coordinate internally to develop timely solutions.
  • Establish delivery priorities based on customer requirements and production capacity while balancing the needs of both customers and manufacturing operations.
  • Monitor market trends, sales forecasts, and customer demand. Identify changes in demand, investigate underlying causes with customers, and communicate findings internally in a timely manner.
Order Management
  • Review and approve customer purchase orders.
  • Enter shipment schedules and allocate purchase orders through customer portal systems.
  • Monitor consignment inventory levels and coordinate replenishment production with the production planning team in Japan.
Reporting & Inventory Management
  • Prepare reports related to future demand forecasts and sales performance.
  • Monitor consignment inventory levels against target inventory levels.
  • Prepare inventory reports for consignment inventory.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Support the Purchasing Department by assisting with material procurement schedule coordination.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for customers by identifying business objectives, timelines, priorities, issues, and root causes. Communicate issues internally, recommend solutions, and propose effective actions that satisfy customer requirements.
