The Facilities Department of the West Valley-Mission Community College District is seeking a talented and dedicated individual to fill the position of Supervisor, Custodial Services. Under the direction of the Facilities Maintenance Manager, the Custodial Supervisor will plan, organize, coordinate, and supervise custodial operations to ensure clean, safe, and well-maintained District facilities. This position is responsible for overseeing night-shift custodial services, supervising and supporting custodial staff, monitoring work quality and productivity, coordinating schedules and special event support, and ensuring compliance with District policies and safety regulations.

The Custodial Supervisor will also manage custodial supplies and equipment, perform a variety of technical and administrative duties related to assigned areas of responsibility, and provide leadership, training, coaching, and performance oversight to support departmental goals and service excellence. Assignment - 100% of full time, 40 hours per week, 12 months per year, with anticipated start date of January 25, 2027. Schedule may change to include some evening or weekend hours, as needed. This position is a member of the Supervisors Unit (Teamsters Local 856).

Monday-Friday, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM

Salary and Benefits
- Anticipated Hiring Range: $8,468.00 –$9,323.17 monthly (Supervisors Salary Schedule, Range 15, Steps A-C). Benefits include:

Employer-provided life insurance. 14 paid holidays, plus 1 floating holiday annually; paid non-workdays between Christmas and New Year. 12 days vacation leave accrued annually; rate increases step-wise up to maximum 22 days vacation leave accrued annually. 12 days sick leave accrued annually. Personal necessity leave and personal business leave.

Educational growth incentive program from $45 to $225 monthly. $1000 longevity award annually after 10 years of service and $1,500 longevity award annually after 15 years of service. CalPERS retirement. Position is union affiliated.

Minimum Qualifications
- Any combination of experience and education that would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and abilities would be:

Education:

Equivalent to an Associate's degree from an accredited college with major coursework in a general education or a related field

Experience:

Four years of increasingly responsible experience in custodial services, including one year providing technical and functional supervision over assigned staff. AND…
