Overview

ABM Electrical Solutions is looking for project managers to join our team in Santa Clara, CA. The Industrial Project Manager plays a critical role on our client’s campus, overseeing day‑to‑day operational and administrative activities across multiple initiatives. This role manages project planning, tracking, reporting, and implementation of service orders and projects while partnering with internal and external stakeholders to meet established milestones and organizational goals.

This position reports to the Northern California Operations Manager, Electrical & Lighting Solutions.

Pay

Pay: $90,000-$125,000 salary. The pay listed is the salary range for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. ABM offers a comprehensive benefits package.

About the Work Group

ABM supports the client’s campus through comprehensive management of business operations, including upgrades, maintenance, and campus-wide technical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce ABM safety standards on all projects and service work.
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure successful delivery.
  • Collaborate with facilities, administrative teams, and other stakeholders to align project goals with organizational needs.
  • Identify and implement improvements to project management processes.
  • Perform data analysis and generate progress reports; maintain accurate as‑built documentation.
  • Coordinate project activities to ensure alignment with daily campus operations and institutional priorities.
Required

Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with electrical and lighting installations and repairs; basic mechanical knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret design drawings.
  • Knowledge of National, State, and local installation codes.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Ability to prepare clear, comprehensive reports.
  • Commitment to delivering projects on time, within scope, and aligned with institutional goals.
Key Functions & Expected Performance
  • Lead and implement special projects to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Develop program guidelines and manage timelines and administration.
  • Track and evaluate program metrics to assess impact and goal completion.
  • Recommend process improvements and report on issues.
  • Draft communications and prepare summaries for leadership.
  • Build strong relationships with campus and external partners and gather feedback for improvement.
  • Provide technical and operational support for daily project activities.
  • Conduct research and prepare reports for review.
  • Coordinate resources across campus and external partners to deliver project success.
Education & Certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • PMP certification preferred.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 6 years of directly comparable project management experience.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and time‑management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively at all levels.
  • Demonstrated judgment, discretion, and ability to manage confidential information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project) and other communication and analysis tools.
  • Skilled in analyzing, presenting, and utilizing data throughout the project lifecycle.
