About the role
The Final Inspector will play a critical role in our quality assurance process by inspecting completed parts and assemblies to verify that they meet all specifications, tolerances, and quality standards before shipment. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong familiarity with inspection tools, and a commitment to accuracy.
Responsibilities- Perform final inspections on finished parts, ensuring compliance with blueprints, specifications, and quality standards
- Utilize various inspection tools, such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), to measure dimensions and tolerances
- Verify surface finishes, alignments, and material properties as required by the project
- Document and report any defects, deviations, or discrepancies found during inspection
- Collaborate with production and quality control teams to resolve issues and maintain high standards
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, including inspection reports and quality documentation
- Adhere to all company and industry safety protocols while working in the shop
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification is a plus
- 2+ years of experience in quality inspection, preferably within a machine shop environment is preferred but not required
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and teamwork-oriented mindset
