Since the early 1990's, SP3 pioneered the development of CVD diamond technologies. SP3 coats for its customers: cutting tools, silicon wafers, electrodes, CMP pad conditioners, consumables used in semiconductor etching equipment, as well as many other products.

SP3 Diamond Technologies | Santa Clara | Production / Manufacturing | Full time/ Regular

Your tasks:

  • Using chemical, electrochemical and mechanical process to prepare customer supplied product for diamond adhesion
  • Operating CVD diamond coating equipment to diamond coat a variety of products
  • Operating ancillary equipment to post process the diamond coated product for improved function and appearance
  • Maintaining the work area in accordance with lab cleanliness and safety standards
  • Performing equipment total preventive maintenance (TPM), troubleshooting / repairs, implementing corrective actions to root causes and giving improvement recommendations for the overall of safety and performance of process equipment and the manufacturing systems
  • Inspecting incoming, in process and outgoing product. To follow and improve the inspection process that will meet/exceed customer requirements and improve in house scrap
  • Implementation into the production environment of processes developed by Process Engineering and R&D

Your profile:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Curiosity and a willingness to learn
  • Attention to detail, mechanical aptitude and basic problem-solving techniques
  • Ideally 3 – 5 years of experience in a high technology chemical or coating process manufacturing environment. Knowledge of thin film coatings and/or CVD/PVD processes desirable. Previous work in a cleanroom environment is a plus
  • Basic understanding of safety, health, and environmental practices
  • Experience following quality control procedures and meeting production standards
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • Working knowledge of software programs and computers
  • High quality awareness
  • Ability to work multiple shifts
