PCB Rework Technician

Job Title

Duties:

• Perform PCB rework on prototype hardware including SMT component replacement and jumper wires
• Perform unit mechanical assembly and disassembly as needed
• Perform programming of devices such as CPLD, flash, eeprom
• Solder attach of probe tips for SI engineers
• Maintain record of rework performed by unit serial number
• Maintain an orderly lab environment

Skills:

• 3+ years experience in PCB rework; development lab environment preferred
• Excellent PCB rework skills including soldering fine pitch and 0402 SMT package
• Able to follow detailed written rework instructions from engineers
• Able to use schematics to interpret written rework instructions
• Able to use Allegro layout viewer to identify components and features on PCB
• Experience with networking hardware preferred
• Prefer familiarity with hand tools
• Prefer familiarity with test equipment such as DMM, oscilloscope, power supplies
• Prefer ability to lift 50 pounds

Education:

• Technical school or equivalent industry experience
