Manufacturing Lead (Ottava Production Team)
Responsibilities

Lead daily production floor activities to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
Assign/coordinate technician priorities; mentor, coach, and develop technicians.
Facilitate shift handoffs; communicate status, priorities, risks, and critical issues.
Represent the floor in performance meetings and operational reviews.
Monitor progress and proactively elevate staffing, material, equipment, quality, and schedule issues.
Ensure adherence to manufacturing procedures, quality standards, safety requirements, and training compliance.
Verify training/qualification prior to work execution.
Maintain proficiency across at least five subassemblies; provide technical guidance.
Troubleshoot electrical/mechanical/software issues; support root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
Create/review/release work orders in MES/ERP (when required); maintain material transactions and cycle counts.
Support quality improvement, hazardous waste handling, calibration/safety standards, Kaizen/Lean projects.
Lead alignment across shifts/departments; initiate/investigate/close Incident Reports (IRs) and Nonconformances (NCs).

Qualifications

Associate degree + 6–8 years related experience, or engineering/mechatronics degree + 6–8 years.
Manufacturing Technician experience (Type II/III medical devices or complex electromechanical capital equipment) with GDP.
Advanced electrical/mechanical troubleshooting (multimeter, isolation); leadership and mentoring experience.
SAP and MES/ERP proficiency; assembly/test competence; ESD/anti-static knowledge.
Read mechanical/technical writing; use tools (torque wrenches, screwdrivers, multimeters, IPA, presses, Loctite).
Strong communication and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

NPI builds and change management in regulated manufacturing;
Lean/Kaizen participation.
Six Sigma Yellow Belt (or similar); structured problem-solving tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, DMAIC-lite).
Experience training/certifying technicians across modules.
