Your impact
Run manual lathes and mills from setup to final inspection to meet spec and print
Decode engineering drawings and GD&T to plan efficient, accurate operations
Measure early and often with micrometers, calipers, bore/depth gauges, and dial indicators
Pick the right tools, fixtures, and work holding; maintain them for reliable performance
Adjust offsets, tools, and parameters to hold tight tolerances and consistent quality
Execute basic preventive maintenance; flag and troubleshoot equipment issues
Use hand/power tools safely for setup, minor repairs, and optimization
Keep a clean, organized station and follow all safety protocols
Suggest improvements to methods, throughput, quality, and material flow
Must-have qualifications5+ years of manual machining experience in manufacturing or a job-shop Hands-on expertise with manual lathes and manual milling machines
Fluent in reading engineering drawings and machining specifications
Comfortable with precision metrology: calipers, micrometers, gauges, and indicators
Knowledge of tooling, feeds/speeds, and close-tolerance machining practices
Competent shop math for measurement, layout, and in-process adjustments
Proven ability to work safely with machine tools, hand/power tools, and fixtures
Strong attention to detail; team-first mindset in a fast-paced environment
