Full Time Direct Labor

Salary Range: $30.00 To $36.00 Hourly
Role PurposeThe Quality Control Inspector II is responsible for performing inspections, testing, and quality assurance activities to ensure products meet engineering specifications and customer requirements. This role supports manufacturing operations through incoming, in-process, and final inspections, nonconformance management, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Scope & ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:
- Perform assigned duties in accordance with documented procedures and work instructions.
- Prepare and execute daily QC inspection plans.
- Inspect incoming metal parts in accordance with GD&T and engineering specifications.
- Perform inspections across all stages of production (incoming, in-process, and final).
- Conduct routine analytical testing and visual inspections in the QC lab.
- Perform grinding, forming, bonding, and/or packaging of parts to specifications.
- Initiate Nonconforming Material Reports (NCMRs) and Corrective Action Requests (CARs).
- Maintain accurate and organized quality records and documentation.
- Initiate CARs for Returned Material Authorization (RMA) parts.
- Disposition NCMR and RMA materials in accordance with procedures.
- Log and monitor daily reject rate data.
- Complete all required production and quality documentation accurately and timely.
- Identify areas for quality improvement and assist in implementing corrective actions and process enhancements.
- Communicate quality or compliance concerns with urgency.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across production and quality functions.
- Ensure proper operation of lab equipment through routine checks and preventive maintenance.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory and work environment.
- Communicate inspection results and quality concerns clearly with production and engineering teams.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of lab and inspection results.
- Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Maintain compliance with company quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in quality control or inspection within a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience in PCB or photo‑chemical etching industry preferred.
Skills / Knowledge:
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in documentation and data entry.
- Knowledge of inspection techniques, lab testing, and quality documentation.
- Strong problem identification and resolution skills.
