Since the early 1990's, SP3pioneered the development of CVD diamond technologies. SP3 coats for its customers: cutting tools, silicon wafers, electrodes, CMP pad conditioners, consumables used in semiconductor etching equipment, as well as many other products.
Based in Silicon Valley, this American company has been fortunate to be able to build its team from some of the best and brightest in fields that matter to not only CVD diamond deposition, but to its practical application, in a way that enables our customers to have the best products for their needs. SP3 is part of the MAPALGroup since 2019.

- Perform quality inspections of incoming and coated cutting tools under a microscope to identify defects and ensure compliance with quality standards
- Document and report inspection results accurately
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality issues and improve processes
- Operate ancillary equipment to post process the diamond coated product for improved function and appearance
- Maintain the work area in accordance with lab cleanliness and safety standards
- Assist with logistics, including inventory tracking, shipment preparation, and receiving goods
- Maintain detailed records of quality checks, tool status, and shipping/receiving activities
- Operate and maintain quality inspection tools and microscopes
- Utilize basic Microsoft Office Suite software (Excel, Word, Outlook) for documentation and communication
- Follow established procedures for quality assurance and safety standards
- Assist with other duties as assigned to support overall production and logistics
YOUR PROFILE:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus
- Previous experience in quality assurance, tool inspection, or a similar role preferred, 3+ years
- Ability to work under a microscope for extended periods with a high degree of precision
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to perform basic logistics tasks, such as inventory management and shipping preparation
- Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and tools is a plus
