- Lead quality and reliability activities throughout the product lifecycle, from concept and design through qualification, release, and sustaining.
- Apply, define, revise, and maintain requirements on parts/products against the quality and reliability standards, test methods, and acceptance criteria aligned with customer expectations and industry best practices.
- Drive Q&R engagement in product development, ensuring early identification and mitigation of reliability and quality risks.
- Perform FMECA.
- Develop and execute quality and reliability test plans, including environmental, mechanical, electrical, and operational stress testing – document CRAMS and partner with design engineering and suppliers.
- Lead or support Product Qualification Programs (PQP) at suppliers, including audits, readiness reviews, and qualification execution.
- Develop and apply reliability models, life‑testing strategies, and ERAMS‑based methodologies to predict and validate product robustness.
- Analyze large datasets from field performance, operational metrics, and qualification testing to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
- Leverage historical product and part‑level performance data to drive design improvements and prevent repeat issues on new programs.
- Translate data insights into updated test requirements, design recommendations, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Coach, mentor, and train engineers and cross‑functional teams on quality and reliability tools, processes, and best practices.
- Must be a strong communicator with ability to influence stakeholder decision.
- Present method/logic that demonstrates ability to handle multiple projects with a high degree of efficiency and productivity.
- Experience in DOE/Statistics (JMP) and any other data visualization tools such as Python, Power BI or related AI-based automation is a big plus.
- Demonstrates expanded conceptual knowledge in own discipline and broadens capabilities.
- Understands key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work.
- No supervisory responsibilities but provides informal guidance to new team members.
- Solves problems in straightforward situations; analyzes possible solutions using technical experience and judgment and precedents.
- Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team; works within guidelines and policies.
- Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations.
