Job SummaryThe IQC/SQE Engineer is responsible for incoming material quality, supplier quality coordination, supplier issue containment, inspection planning, and corrective action follow-up for manufacturing operations. This role supports incoming inspection performance, supplier quality metrics, material nonconformance control, supplier corrective action requests, and production support related to supplier or material quality issues. The IQC/SQE Engineer works closely with Quality Management, Supply Chain, Procurement, Warehouse, Manufacturing, Engineering, suppliers, and customer-facing teams to ensure incoming materials meet quality requirements and support production continuity.
DutiesAnd Responsibilities
- Support incoming quality control through inspection planning, inspection execution, sampling review, material release decisions, and incoming inspection record management.
- Review supplier material quality performance, incoming inspection results, nonconforming material trends, supplier DPPM, and supplier corrective-action status.
- Coordinate containment, sorting, rework direction, disposition support, escalation, supplier corrective-action requests, 8D follow-up, failure-analysis responses, and verification of effectiveness.
- Partner with Procurement, Supply Chain, Warehouse, Engineering, Manufacturing, and suppliers to resolve material quality issues, update inspection requirements, and support ECO/ECN quality impact review.
- Maintain supplier quality reports, nonconforming material records, quality alerts, action trackers, audit readiness, KPI reporting, and clear communication of material-quality risks and recovery plans.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field required.
- Lean Six Sigma, ISO 9001, IPC, ESD, quality auditing, or related quality certification preferred.
- 4-7 years of quality engineering, supplier quality, incoming quality control, manufacturing quality, or related experience in electronics manufacturing or related industries.
