About the Role

Ampere is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Quality Compliance Engineer to be a key member of our Program for Excellence and Assurance. In this important role, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the integrity of our Quality Management System (QMS). This role is vital as Ampere expands into new markets where stringent quality and reliability standards are paramount. You will support a wide range of quality activities, including industry certifications, program management, quality tool deployment, and internal audits.

This is a highly cross‑functional role where you will collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Program Management teams to help ensure Ampere’s products consistently meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

What You’ll Achieve Certification and Compliance Support
  • Support and contribute to activities to achieve and maintain key industry certifications, including ISO 9001, 26262 and other relevant quality standards.'
  • Assist in coordinating and preparing for certification/audits, helping gather evidence and address inquiries.
  • Help track evolving industry standards and support the team in identifying necessary changes to maintain compliance.
Quality Program & System Execution
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of quality processes and procedures across the product lifecycle, following our structured NPI (New Product Introduction) quality framework.
  • Help track and report on key quality performance indicators (KPIs) for management review.
Internal Audit Program
  • Partner with the Quality Management office to plan, schedule, and execute a comprehensive internal audit program to assess compliance with the QMS and customer‑specific automotive and safety requirements.
  • Document audit findings and assist in generating reports for process owners and management.
  • Work with cross‑functional teams to track and validate the effectiveness of corrective actions stemming from audit findings.
Quality Tools & Documentation
  • Support key quality management software and tools (e.g., PLM, QMS, document control systems).
  • Provide support to internal teams on quality processes, procedures, and tools.
  • Help ensure all QMS and functional safety documentation is controlled, maintained, and readily accessible for audits and assessments.
About You
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. Master's degree in a relevant field is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a quality, process, or product engineering role within the semiconductor, electronics, or a related high‑tech industry.
  • Solid understanding and hands‑on experience with the ISO 9001 and ISO 26262 standards.
  • Good working knowledge of core quality methodologies, including 8D, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Experience working within a quality management system for complex SoCs/CPUs
  • Experience with the New Product Introduction (NPI) lifecycle and product qualification processes.
  • Familiarity with reliability‑related concepts and product‑level reliability testing (e.g., HTOL).
  • Experience using QMS/PLM systems (e.g., Agile, Arena) and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Professional quality certifications (e.g., ASQ CQT/CQE, CFSE, CFSP) are a plus.

The full base pay range for this role is between $119,000 and $179,000, except in the San Francisco Bay Area where the range is between $133,500 and $200,500.
