Sr. Quality Control Technician
What will you do?
• Perform quality inspection on preproduction materials of finished products quickly and accurately, meeting/exceeding minimum lot requirements each week and transact materials in ERP per training.
• Document nonconformances and support disposition to the Material Review Board (MRB) as appropriate.
• Review quality inspection priorities and complete the inspection on time.
• Document and communicate quality findings/issues quickly to the manufacturing team, purchasing, quality leadership and others, verbally and in writing, as appropriate.
• Understands, follows and enforces all established safety, health, business and quality policies and procedures.
• Manage, maintain and archive quality inspection records, quality reports and metrics.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement projects and other related activities as assigned.
• Attends daily tier meetings, stage-gate reviews and staff meetings when applicable.
• Work closely with manufacturing and quality engineering to establish inspection criteria and implement inspection processes and procedures.
• Assist in the investigation of customer complaints and the corrective action process.
• And other tasks as assigned by the Quality Supervisor or Manager.
How will you get here?
Education:
An Associate of Science degree or a technology-related field or equivalent is preferred.
Experience, Skills, Abilities:
Sr. Quality Technicians are required to interact with other supervisors, managers, employees, vendors and customers. Therefore, the following skills and proficiencies are also essential requirements of the position:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with quality inspection and manufacturing assembly or equivalent role
• Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance onsite.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize team workload based on customer demand or schedules.
• Collaborates well with others: proactively contributes to group objectives; volunteers to help others
• Demonstrated appropriate computer and system application skills to efficiently and accurately transact information on inspected materials/lots as needed.
• Demonstrate competency with all Microsoft Office applications, Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.
• Experience using Agile PLM and ERP systems.
• Demonstrated ability to read and follow written procedures & work instructions.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal contexts.
• Demonstrated ability to read and understand layout, mechanical drawings and wiring schematics.
• Experience using inspection tools such as microscopes, calipers, micrometers, inspection gauges, etc.
• Knowledge/experience in manufacturing processes
Physical Requirement / Work Environment:
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing 40lbs
• Ability to work in manufacturing environments
• Ability to frequently get down on the floor and/or climb ladders
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in front of a computer for extended periods of time
