Peralta Associates & Defense is seeking full-time Unarmed Security Officers to join our rapidly growing team in the Santa Clara, CA area. Our team consists of experienced professionals dedicated to exceeding industry standards.

• Conduct regular observation of client premises and report any suspicious activity.
• Perform foot patrols, monitor the perimeter, and handle incident reporting.

• Deliver excellent customer service while adhering to safety, security procedures, and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, using problem‑solving skills.
• Patrol the site on foot to identify potential dangers or criminal activity.
• Report any suspicious activity to supervisors or law enforcement as necessary.
• Maintain accurate reports by documenting observations, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
• Issue verbal warnings, make arrests (if applicable), and/or contact law enforcement for security violations or criminal activities.
• Adapt to various working environments and conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Valid California Guard Card required.
• Power to arrest certificate required.
• Appropriate Use of Force certificate required.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• California License: #PPO

• Must pass a comprehensive background check, including a criminal record, driving record, and drug testing.

• Proficiency in English, including speaking, reading, and writing.

• Ability to meet all physical demands such as standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods.
