Job DescriptionSecurity Officer Guard Card Patrol in Santa Clara, CA serves and safeguards clients across industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to deter incidents, deliver outstanding customer service and communication, and support daily operations through teamwork and integrity.
Position Type: Part Time
Pay Rate: $23.34 / Hour
Job Schedule: Saturday and Sunday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
What You'll Do:- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and problem‑solving, documenting observations and sharing relevant details with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials when required, and report access control concerns, delivery issues, and suspicious behavior according to site protocols.
- Support day‑to‑day operations by communicating clearly with staff and visitors, assisting with directions and policy questions, and completing required reports related to incidents, patrols, and routine activities.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Allied Universal will require a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
