Overview Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoots and repairs abatement equipment, such as combustion, thermal, wet, plasma, dry bed, combustion/wet and thermal/wet technology-based systems
  • Follows and enforces all safety protocol, pre and post maintenance activity
  • Consults with site manager or supervisor on down systems and recovery plans
  • Assists or oversees installation of equipment according to manufacturer’s and Applied Materials specifications
  • Operates system to demonstrate equipment and to analyze malfunctions
  • Interprets maintenance manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and repairs equipment, utilizing knowledge of electronics and using standard test instruments and hand tools. Utilizes Maintenance software to identify troubled equipment and reduce unscheduled tool downs
  • Instructs workers in electro-mechanical theory and directs workers in servicing and repairing equipment
  • Consults with engineering personnel to resolve unusual problems in system operation and maintenance
  • Supervises workers in testing, tuning, and adjusting equipment to obtain optimum operating performance
  • Work with managers regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product improvements
  • Ability to perform helium leak checks after performing on-site repairs and preventative maintenance
  • Must be available for on-call rotation 24/7 on a rotating schedule and be available to work overtime on nights and weekends
  • Performs preventative and routine maintenance of abatements equipment, per documented procedures
  • Manages the PM schedule and coordinates activities with tool owners
  • Disassembles equipment for cleaning and decontamination
  • Prepares contaminated parts and coordinates cleaning activities
  • Reinstalls cleaned and/or new replacement parts and assemblies
  • Performs system start-up and post maintenance testing
  • Maintains maintenance logs and completes all required documentation
  • Creates, modifies and updates excel, word and PowerPoint documents
  • Maintains clean work areas, tools and toolboxes
Qualifications
  • Job title:

    Field Service Engineer
  • Ability to support compressed work, 3 day/4 day/week rotation, 12 hours/day
  • 1-2 years of Mechanical or Electrical experience
  • Former military applicants encouraged to apply
  • Associates or certificate in electro/mechanical type field encouraged
  • Ability to read and understand technical procedures and instructions
  • Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions from supervisors and managers
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, and lift for extended periods of time and to walk long distances
  • This position will come in contact with chemicals. The use of aprons, face shields and specialized gloves will be required. (All PPE and training provided)
  • Ability to utilize all required personal protective equipment including potential use of respirators
  • Ability to pass required drug screening and background check
  • Minimum high school diploma required
