ABM Industries is seeking an IR Electrician to support safe, reliable operations across commercial and industrial client facilities. In this role, you will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, perform infrared (IR) thermography to detect faults, and complete preventive and corrective maintenance on panels, motors, and controls. You'll interpret blueprints, follow NFPA and OSHA safety standards, document work in CMMS systems, and collaborate with facility teams to minimize downtime while upholding ABM's strong safety and service culture.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems and equipment
- Perform infrared (IR) scans to identify overheating components and impending electrical failures
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with panels, motors, lighting, and control circuits
- Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals to execute work safely and accurately
- Complete preventive and corrective maintenance work orders in CMMS or similar systems
- Apply NFPA 70
- E, NEC, and OSHA standards, including proper Lockout/Tagout procedures
- Document findings, repairs, and recommendations for clients and supervisors
- Coordinate with facility and ABM teams to schedule work and minimize operational downtime
- Inspect and test electrical components using multimeters and other test instruments
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a safe, organized work area in accordance with ABM policies
