About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Software Engineering Intern to support our team in transforming Fujitsu Research projects into production-ready MVPs. This is an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in AI development and cloud-based software engineering while working alongside experienced engineers.

Key Responsibilities

* Research Support:
Assist in converting Fujitsu Research projects into functional prototypes and MVPs

* AI Development:
Contribute to implementation of AI solutions including machine learning models, neural networks, and LLM/vLM applications

* Cloud Development:
Help develop and test microservices on AWS platform (Lambda, Dynamo

DB, S3, API Gateway)

* Code Development:
Write clean, well-documented Python code following team standards

* Testing:
Write and maintain unit tests and integration tests under guidance

* Learning & Growth:
Actively learn from senior team members and contribute ideas to technical discussions

Required Qualifications

Education

* Currently pursuing Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related fields

* Strong academic performance in relevant coursework

Programming & Development

* Solid Python programming fundamentals

* Familiarity with Git version control

* Experience with VS Code or similar development environments

* Basic understanding of software development lifecycle

AI & Machine Learning (Preferred)

* Exposure to at least one of the following through coursework or projects:

* Traditional machine learning concepts

* Neural networks or deep learning

* LLMs or vLMs

Cloud & Dev Ops (Nice to Have)

* Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts

* Any exposure to AWS services is a plus

* Familiarity with Docker or containerization concepts

* Understanding of CI/CD principles

Soft Skills

* Eagerness to learn:
Genuine curiosity and willingness to tackle new technologies

Comfortable asking questions and seeking guidance

* Problem-solving mindset:
Ability to break down complex problems into manageable tasks

Fujitsu salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each situation. The pay range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: specific skills, qualifications, experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role.

The pay range for this position is estimated at $28/hr. to $40/hr usd.
