Software Development Engineer in Test II

About the Role
This role is part of a team driving automation-first quality across web, API, and AI-powered systems. As an SDET, you will help shape and execute testing strategies that ensure features are reliable, maintainable, and production-ready. You'll collaborate closely with Engineering and Product teams to integrate quality deeply into every stage of development, from design to release.

As a Software Engineer in Test, you will:
- Lead and standardize test automation practices across teams and services.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright and Serenity

JS.
- Develop automated test suites in JavaScript/Type Script for web, API, and workflow validation.
- Design and maintain REST API automation using Postman or equivalent tools.
- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and/or Git Hub Actions.
- Enforce mandatory quality gates, blocking releases on automation or sanity failures.
- Monitor automation executions, analyze failures, and drive root-cause resolution.
- Conduct automation code reviews to ensure consistency, reusability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate during design and story elaboration to define acceptance criteria and risk coverage.
- Mentor QA and engineering teams on automation frameworks, tooling, and best practices.
- Contribute to automation metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Work On
- Automation frameworks for web, API, and workflow testing.
- CI/CD integration for continuous quality enforcement.
- Regression, integration, system, and end-to-end test suites.
- Accessibility (A11y) testing aligned with WCAG principles.
- AI-driven features and workflow validations.
- Metrics, dashboards, and reporting to measure quality and automation effectiveness.

What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in QA Automation / SDET roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and Serenity

JS (JavaScript/Type Script).
- Proficiency in JavaScript/Type Script for building reliable, maintainable automation.
- Solid experience in REST API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD automation using Jenkins and/or Git Hub Actions.
- Familiarity with Cucumber BDD framework.
- Strong working knowledge of Git (Git Hub) and modern version control workflows.

- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes-based environments.
- Exposure to Desktop Automation testing.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug complex automation failures.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence quality across teams.

Even Better If You Have
- Experience using AI agents/tools for testing or day-to-day automation tasks.
- Knowledge of visual regression testing, cross-browser testing, and performance validation.
- Exposure to cloud-native, large-scale SaaS platforms.
- Experience mentoring teams and driving adoption of quality standards across squads.

Compensation
- Base salary range: $110k
-120k
- This range does not include commissions, bonuses, stock options, or benefits.
