We are in search of a Principal Software Engineer to spearhead the enhancement of our engineering velocity and developer experience by optimizing our Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This influential role demands the architecture and refinement of tools, processes, and systems vital for our engineering workforce, with a strategic focus on implementing AI-powered tools to significantly advance our development processes. Situated at our vibrant Santa Clara HQ, this position requires the presence in the office three days a week.
Key Responsibilities- Design and automate a seamless, containerized local development environment, along with building system optimization and dependency management.
- Drive performance optimization and security hardening, integrating SAST and other tools within the SDLC.
- Own the strategy and structure for all test automation across various levels (Unit to Functional tests) and oversee failure diagnostics.
- Simplify and secure the Continuous Deployment (CD) pipeline, develop dashboards for clear visibility into engineering health.
- Lead in AI tooling integration, continuously enhancing development processes from code generation to security analysis.
- Proficiency in CI/CD systems and build automation tools.
- Strong understanding and experience in systems programming and performance profiling.
- Deep experience with test automation frameworks and a firm grasp on quality metrics.
- Prior experience in high-tech, software development sectors with a focus on Dev Ops, Developer Experience, or related fields is highly regarded.
