About the Position
Polaris solutions continually process massive accurate cell‑phone geolocation data covering all subscribers across the entire country. Analytics are used to convert this massive data flow into various applications that benefit our end‑customers. The Perimetra product backend includes the Geo‑fence Management Engine (GME) that processes events, the GME server, and other systems that implement boundary area mobile communication restrictions. The ideal candidate will maintain and improve collaboration with the other product stakeholders.
The work includes new feature design, hands‑on implementation and guidance, data analysis, issue resolution, automated test system, and deployments.
In this role you will maintain and improve the Perimetra Intacto Mobile Application platform, including the iPhone code, Android code, and Mobile App Server code, automatic testing for the mobile apps, field testing systems, data analytics of the MA server data, and monitoring of the mobile KPIs.
Qualifications- Must have a BS.CS degree.
- Must have at least 5 years or more of relevant work experience.
- Authorized to work in the United States without Visa sponsorship or OPT.
- Mobile App: hands‑on experience in App development in Android or iPhone, willing to learn both.
- Python: hands‑on experience in Python, preferably with creating endpoints on a server.
- Linux:
Linux experience; good knowledge of common use commands and remote access. - REST: hands‑on experience working with REST‑based APIs and JSON data formats.
- Strong coding skills. Includes hands‑on work with object‑oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
- Good understanding of the performance and scaling aspects of software development.
- Good practice in creating quality software including good code organization, code testing practices, and producing readable and maintainable code.
