Overview
Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Principal Level Engineer (Server Software Integration Engineer) to work across various US locations. The role focuses on developing high‑performance, energy‑efficient server solutions for data center applications using Qualcomm’s Snapdragon SoC platforms. The position involves leading the end‑to‑end integration of a high‑performance software stack and ensuring successful, timely production release for server products.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years of Software Engineering or related experience.
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 7+ years of Software Engineering or related experience.
- PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 6+ years of Software Engineering or related experience.
- 4+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
- At least 15 years of experience in embedded software integration.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in SW/FW engineering focused on datacenter solutions.
- Experience with BIOS/UEFI, BMC firmware, and operating systems for x86/ARM
64/RISC‑V 64‑bit server platforms. - Extensive cross‑functional collaboration and clear communication of requirements, problem statements, and solutions to deliver tangible SW/FW outcomes.
- Demonstrated track record of improving integration through process refinements, tool integration, and CI/CD practices.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Proven knowledge of Linux (datacenter distributions), Python, and C/C++.
- Experience integrating open‑source upstream code bases and managing various code licenses.
- Familiarity with C/C++ tool chains such as GCC, LLVM, and ARM tool chains.
- Experience troubleshooting software build, deployment, and test failures in embedded systems.
- Strong automation and scripting skills using C, Shell/Bash, Python, Powershell, etc.
- Ability to build tools/applications for firmware integration, packaging, and binary manipulation.
- Experience deploying firmware in environments such as Linux VMs, Docker containers, Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, Gitlab CI pipelines.
- Maintain traceability of Server Reference Platform SW/FW requirements across all contributing cross‑functional teams.
- Contribute to firmware architecture and design, focusing on smooth integration and Design For Test (DFT).
- Coordinate all deliverables across different releases of the reference platform.
- Collaborate with SW Verification Engineering to ensure all platform requirements are validated at component, integration, functional, and system levels.
- Work with PDM & PGM to understand customer platform adoption challenges and drive solutions in subsequent releases.
Pay range: $211,800 – $317,800. Additional compensation may include discretionary bonuses, RSU grants, and a competitive benefits package.
