The Cohesity Data Platform is a limitless scale‑out system that consolidates all secondary storage and data services on a web‑scale distributed architecture.

This position is hybrid out of our Santa Clara office.

Desired technical background: infrastructure and backend development, virtualization experience, and C++ proficiency.

As part of the core development team, you will design and build massively distributed systems at web‑scale, focusing on the core backend of the Cohesity Data Platform and Cohesity SpanFS. Your work will involve hyper‑convergence, distributed data path, distributed file systems, object storage, cloud services, performance optimization, consensus protocols, and infrastructure development.

• 5 to 8 years of professional experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science (Master’s is a plus).
• In‑depth experience with large‑scale engineering challenges and highly available distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and parallel processing.
• High‑level programming and debugging skills in C, C++, Golang or Java.
• Experience with distributed storage, file systems, and object storage is a huge plus.
• Proven ability to diagnose, debug, and resolve complex production software issues.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced, agile development environment and ability to drive tasks to completion.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Pay range: $ – $ per year.

The compensation noted above is based on an annualized hourly rate assuming normal full‑time employment.
