Software Development Engineer II, AWS AI & Strategic Partner Engineering

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer to build new capabilities and solutions for AWS customers and partners, enabling partner-driven solutions such as SAP on AWS. The role focuses on architecture, platform integrations, and AI/ML pipelines within partner ecosystems.

• Design system architecture and deliver mission‑critical solutions for AWS partners across security, AI/ML, distributed systems, and emerging AWS services.
• Build technical specifications, prototype solutions with AI agents, and validate integrations between partners and AWS‑native services.
• Own full‑stack development from design to deployment, emphasizing high availability, performance, and customer delight.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Product, Security, AI Research) and mentor junior engineers.
• Maintain rigorous code quality through peer reviews and operational best practices.

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience for new and existing systems.
• Programming experience in at least one language.
• Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices across the software development life cycle.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

• Experience designing and building large‑scale, distributed systems (Service‑Oriented Architecture).
• Experience communicating with users, technical teams, and management to gather requirements and describe technical designs.
• Experience developing or deploying large language models and knowledge of agentic AI tools, workflows, and integration patterns.
