Senior Software Engineer, AWS Commercial Application Services

This role focuses on leading the design, architecture, and delivery of AI-driven partner integrations within the AWS Commercial Application Services organization. You will work closely with partners such as SAP to build secure, scalable, and high‑availability solutions that combine Agentic AI, LLM workflows, distributed systems, and emerging AWS services.

• Define technical direction, own architectural decisions, and drive cross‑team alignment in a fast‑paced environment.
• Design and deliver mission‑critical integrations between partners (e.g., SAP) and AWS‑native services.
• Architect AI‑augmented SDLC patterns and collaborate with AI agents to prototype and validate solutions.
• Own full‑stack delivery from design through production, emphasizing high availability, performance, and customer delight.
• Build detailed technical specifications, master diverse domains, and turn ambiguity into shipped products.
• Mentor junior engineers and represent the team externally to partner service teams and leadership.

• 7+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience (excluding internships).
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling of new and existing systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team lead.
• Knowledge of Machine Learning and LLM fundamentals, including transformer architecture, training/inference life cycles, and optimization techniques.
• Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence.
• Experience creating, maintaining, and deploying autonomous AI agents into production systems for enterprise customers and external partners, with a deep understanding of AI‑native technologies and guardrails.

• 7+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.

Base salary range: $168,100 – $227,400 USD annually.
