Embedded Firmware PHY Software Engineer

NVIDIA is seeking a Firmware Design Engineer for the NVIDIA FW PHY Group, collaborating closely with application engineering, costumers, firmware development, architecture, and chip design teams to deepen understanding of NVIDIA’s networking products and technologies.

• Work on groundbreaking technologies for building AI infrastructure.
• Debug, analyze, and resolve PHY‑layer issues on cutting‑edge networking devices, improving performance and reliability.
• Support application teams and customers.
• Collaborate with architecture, hardware, and software design teams to solve complex issues.
• Debug and triage hardware, firmware, and software issues.
• Participate actively in silicon bring‑up and software development phases.
• Lead data‑driven discussions about product functionality and improvement areas.

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant firmware engineering experience.
• Experience handling customer issues.
• Ability to work with interrupts and in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in C programming.
• Debugging experience with embedded firmware.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple countries.

• Proficiency in Python and data analysis.
• Good understanding of Ser Des operation.
• Experience developing the physical layer of communication protocols.
• Knowledgeable of hardware/software development processes.
• Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills, capable of guiding and influencing teams.

• Competitive base salary ranging from 152,000 USD to 287,500 USD, depending on level and location.
