Overview
NVIDIA’s GeForceNOW is a next-generation cloud‑gaming service that turns a Mac, PC, or mobile device into a high‑performance gaming rig. The platform automatically keeps games up‑to‑date and streams high‑definition titles with ultra‑low latency.
What you’ll be doing- Collaborate with data‑center network and security architects and vendor partners to build the next generation of streaming technology for cloud‑based ultra‑low‑latency applications.
- Research, develop, and innovate network routing and QoS algorithms to secure ultra‑low‑latency streaming and improve user experience.
- Collaborate with our partners to build networking gear optimized for low‑latency streaming.
- Use data analytics to measure user experience and develop features that grow our satisfied user base.
- Define, implement, and improve industry‑leading KPIs for networking, streaming quality, latency, and stutter.
- Generate networking models that simulate various real‑life end‑user networks.
- PhD, Master’s degree, or equivalent experience in Computer Science, EE, or a closely related field.
- 10+ years of experience in networking and software development.
- Fluency in L2, L3 networking stacks, IP routing, multicast, QoS, and transport‑layer protocols.
- Hands‑on experience with networking protocols and concepts, including BGP, RTP, QUIC, SCTP, TLS, STUN, TURN, and ICE.
- Familiarity with congestion control, buffer bloat, active queue management methods, and concurrent traffic handling.
- Hands‑on experience programming in C++ and Python, socket programming, multi‑threaded systems, and real‑time media applications.
- Hardworking and self‑motivated with excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience with IPv4/IPv6 routing optimizations, BGP, OSPF/IS‑IS, and related protocols.
- Experience working with global ISPs, internet peering, and network performance monitoring.
- Good understanding of multimedia streaming technologies such as WebRTC and Web Transport.
- Knowledge of SDN, SD‑WAN, or network security protocols.
- Familiarity with wireless communication standards such as 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, LTE, and/or 5G, and experience modeling multi‑protocol networks using NS3, GNS3, EVE‑NG, and/or Mininet.
Competitive salaries and a generous benefits package. The base salary range is 224,000
USD – 356,500
USD. Employees are also eligible for equity and additional benefits.
