Senior Robotics Engineer, Datacenter Robotic Products & Services

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensures customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You will collaborate across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost. You will act as the technical lead for robotics solutions and drive game‑changing innovation used by AWS globally.

The role involves close collaboration with external partners, contractors, and enterprise customers to bring robotics into production. You will support the design, deployment, and management of advanced robotic systems at scale to enable AWS to build data centers efficiently.

• Travel approximately 30% of the time to AWS offices, data centers, suppliers, vendors, and product validation tests; most travel will be domestic with some international travel required.
• Design, deploy, and manage advanced robotic systems at scale.
• Oversee operational teams and tools to ensure reliability, efficiency, and scalability.
• Collaborate with external partners, contractors, and enterprise customers to bring robotics into production.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.
• Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission‑critical facilities including but not limited to data centers, power generation, or oil and gas facilities.
• Experience with vision language actuation models.
• Experience deploying robots into production.
• Experience shipping production code and following common software practices.

• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Experience in data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance.
• Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production.
• Knowledge of sensor data analytics and machine learning (e.g., neural net, GenAI training).
