This individual independently plans, performs and completes a moderately-defined responsibility for the design, driver development, integration, testing, debugging, and validation of real‑time embedded software, embedded RTOS, microcontroller firmware, and communication protocols for wireless chipsets that support 3G, 4G, 5G, AI and other current and future technologies. The role includes on‑target development, identification and implementation of tools and processes to improve the software development lifecycle, and providing support on customer issues to Software Application Engineers.

Documentation of intellectual property, technical specifications, and requirements is also required. The candidate will act as a strong contributor at design reviews and project meetings.

• Design, develop, and debug real‑time embedded software and RTOS environments.
• Implement driver development, integration, testing, debugging, and validation of embedded systems.
• Support on‑target development and customer issue resolution.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement tools and processes to improve the software development process.
• Provide engineering documentation for intellectual property and technical specifications.
• Participate actively in design reviews and project meetings.

Will accept a Master’s Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Will also accept a Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and five (5) years of progressive experience in a related occupation.
