Description
Join the AWS EC2 Nitro team building the foundation of cloud computing at unprecedented scale. The Nitro platform powers the world’s largest and fastest‑growing compute cloud through a fully customized stack of hardware, firmware, and software. Within the Nitro organization, the MLS team is developing the next generation of EC2 Supercomputers optimized for high‑performance training and inference workloads.
Key ResponsibilitiesDrive development of new EC2 machine‑learning platforms, collaborating with hardware, firmware, systems, and application software teams to deliver high‑performance, scalable solutions.
Qualifications- 3+ years of professional software development experience
- 3+ years of design or architecture experience for new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability, and scaling)
- 3+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- 3+ years designing and developing large‑scale, multi‑tiered, multi‑threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
- 3+ years of object‑oriented design experience
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, expertise in C/C++ or Rust development in a Linux environment, and experience with Linux package management, version control systems, automated build processes, and software unit testing
- In‑depth knowledge of ML frameworks and cluster management (highly preferred)
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Additional education beyond a bachelor’s degree (e.g., master’s, Ph.D.) is a plus
