Platform Engineer-Java/Perl/Python
Idealforce have a contract-to-hire position available immediately for a Platform Engineer-Java/Perl/Python to join our customer in Santa Clara, CA. This is an ONSITE position. Job DescriptionDesign & implement all aspects at the platform level for hardware, software integrated engineered solutions. This includes hardware, virtualization, OS, networking, storage etc.
QualificationsUniversity degree in computer science or related discipline
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with scripting languages/tools like Java scripting, is a must Perl, Python, Tcl.
- Sound knowledge of Unix networking - TCP/IP, Layer 2 (switches, VLANs, bonding, STP, LACP etc) is a plus
- Sound knowledge of Linux/Solaris OS internals, automated install/setup, configuration, patching etc for enterprise applications is a plus.
- Sound knowledge and programming experience on any routers or switches is a plus - A good team player
