Principal Engineer

This role is a 12 month contract assignment. Bring your backend Java cloud engineering skills to work on the latest cloud software/web applications. Help us deploy and scale the next generation of cloud security utilizing big data and Analytics. We are looking for a Principal Engineer to join the team that is building our latest cloud security product - SaaS Inline Security.

This fast-growing cloud service provides visibility and real time security for SaaS applications such as Box, Dropbox, Git Hub, Google Apps, Slack, Salesforce and many more. SaaS Inline Security products provide visibility into all SaaS Application usage in customer environments and subsequently enable them to secure their data flowing between all sanctioned / unsanctioned SaaS app instances. This role will also give you an unrivaled opportunity to build enterprise class cloud security solutions which help provide visibility and security in a continuously growing SaaS Applications world.

Your Impact

• Execute on the software development strategy to improve our dynamic highly distributed system
• Understand and implement software development/engineering lifecycle concepts to drive features from conception to delivery
• Collaborate closely with the product management, dev-ops, and QA teams to achieve quality releases
• Work hand-in-hand with customer support, documentation and downstream teams to enable customer success
• Make appropriate trade-offs to optimize time-to-release while maintaining performance and scalability requirements
• Be able to clearly communicate goals and desired outcomes to internal project teams

Skills:

• Be a self-starter, able to learn independently and adapt quickly
• Advanced-level of experience as hands-on Java Software Engineer in a distributed /cloud-based product
• Expertise in Python Scripting
• Knowledge with encryption libraries and experience with FIPS enabled OSs and FIPS Libraries
• Understanding of FedRAMP, SOC2, NIST< CSA or other security compliance frameworks
• Cloud Experience (AWS, Google Cloud). Experience with Kubernetes, Docker
• Dev Ops Engineering environment with owning tests
• CI/CD pipeline experience is a must have
• Proficiency with rest framework such as Spring, Kafka, Reactive
• Knowledge in OS libraries, ability to resolve build and installation dependencies
