Senior Systems Software Engineer, CUDA Driver - Multi-Node and Memory Model

Overview

Senior system software engineer position focused on the CUDA Driver, a core component accelerating general‑purpose GPU computation. The role involves enhancing CUDA’s memory model and multi‑node scalability for leading AI and other high‑performance workloads.

• Architect, evangelize, and implement new features related to CUDA’s memory model and multi‑node scalability for next‑generation AI applications.
• Coordinate and drive development efforts across multiple teams.
• Define forward‑looking improvements to the CUDA APIs and programming model.
• Write effective, maintainable, and well‑tested code for multiple operating systems.

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong C and C++ programming skills.
• Minimum of 8 years of related development experience.
• Experience driving projects across multiple teams.
• Experience working with large codebases.
• Background with operating system interfaces for threads, process control, and virtual memory.
• Experience writing and debugging multithreaded programs.
• Excellent written communication and presentation skills.

• Parallel computing, PyTorch, or low‑latency AI inference.
• System level architecture such as interconnects, memory hierarchy, interrupts, and memory‑mapped I/O.
• Memory coherence and consistency models.
• Kernel mode development.
• Linux or Windows Systems Software development.

Base salary:
Level 4 ($184,000 – $287,500 USD) or Level 5 ($224,000 – $356,500 USD). Eligibility for equity and benefits. Salary determined by location, experience and market data.
