Role OverviewSenior Staff Dev Ops Engineer – Quantum Platform Network Security Engineering Team. The team builds, secures, and operates scalable infrastructure for cloud‑managed SaaS products with on‑premises components deployed at customer sites.
Responsibilities- Set the direction for the software‑factory roadmap, architecture and tooling decisions, and align the organization to enable self‑service delivery.
- Embed security scanning and policy enforcement into every pipeline stage to make secure delivery the default.
- Operate the release train and release gate, including an expedited hotfix pipeline that remains fully gated.
- Automate dependency updates, generate SBOMs, and verify artifact provenance.
- Build and improve the internal developer platform to deliver self‑service capabilities for rapid, safe product shipping.
- Engineer infrastructure as code with reusable, tested modules and policy‑as‑code enforcement across cloud and hybrid deployments.
- Run vulnerability scanning, drive findings to closure within service‑level targets, and keep audit evidence current.
- Build and operate agentic workflows for pipeline triage and routine support, enforcing guardrails for autonomous actions.
- Mentor engineers, raise standards, and align Architecture, SRE, Cloud Operations, and Product Development behind the roadmap.
- 12+ years of production engineering experience.
- Hands‑on experience building and operating CI/CD pipeline platforms at production scale.
- Security embedded into pipelines as a practitioner – demonstrated configuration of scanning and resolution of vulnerabilities.
- Infrastructure‑as‑code authored and tested with production modules.
- Ownership of release, dependency, or vulnerability‑management outcomes with measurable results.
- Strong scripting and automation fluency, with a bias toward eliminating manual toil.
- Depth in supply‑chain security: signing, SBOMs, provenance, SLSA.
- Experience with internal developer platform or self‑service design, with measurable adoption.
- Ownership of release‑gate or release‑train processes, including expedited emergency‑change delivery.
- Agentic delivery automation (e.g., AWS Agent Core) and AI/LLM security practice.
Base salary range: $216,136 – $282,978. Total compensation includes base, bonus, equity, and benefit options.
