Overview
NVIDIA's Compiler Back End Team is responsible for constructing and emitting the highest performance GPU machine instructions for graphics and compute workloads. We are looking for a Computer Science or Computing Engineer to support this team.
Responsibilities- Investigate problems or improvement opportunities within the NVIDIA Compiler Back End, consistent with your compiler experience and knowledge.
- Work with global compiler, hardware and application teams to oversee improvements and problem resolutions.
- Be part of a team that is at the center of deep-learning compiler technology spanning architecture design and support through functional languages.
- Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Successful completion of an undergraduate compiler design class.
- Background in LLVM code generation.
- Strong writing and oral communication skills, and ability to follow best practices for software engineering.
- Strong coding skills with C/C++.
- Specialization in compiler design and construction with graduate coursework in these areas.
- Hands‑on experience with backend compiler design and code generation.
- In-depth knowledge of LLVM code generation, including instruction scheduling, software pipelining, register allocation, GlobalISel, Table Gen, LLVM IR, and Machine IR (MIR).
- Experience with GPU and parallel architectures, CUDA/PTX, and graphics APIs such as OpenGL, DirectX, or Vulkan.
Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions, with ranges of $108,000–$178,250 for Level1 and $124,000–$195,500 for Level
2. You will also be eligible for equity and a generous benefits package.
