Overview
NVIDIA is searching for a highly motivated, creative embedded software engineer to join the GPU Software team. You will design key aspects of the RISCV BSP package used across the GPU and work from development through to customer desktops, notebooks, workstations, and gaming console products worldwide.
Responsibilities- Define, design, develop, and verify features for next‑generation RISCV controllers on the GPU.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers and fellow software engineers on device integration.
- Follow the devices through the entire development process to end‑user products.
- Model and simulate early stages of development to produce world‑class products.
- Communicate effectively with global teams.
- BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of meaningful software development experience, especially with embedded systems.
- Hands‑on technical background with excellent C programming and embedded device‑driver development.
- Familiarity with computer system architecture, microprocessor, and microcontroller fundamentals (caches, buses, memory controllers, DMA, etc.).
- Familiarity with the RISCV architecture and Rust programming language.
- Experience with tool chains such as GCC and GDB.
- Background with embedded system software concepts such as RTOS and overlay programming models.
- Experience with simulation, emulation, and hardware development cycle.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
Base salary range: $184,000 to $287,500, determined by location, experience, and internal equity. Eligible for equity and benefits.
