You will engineer the integration of core system software with AV functions to deliver an AV platform to internal and external customers. The work spans sensors, HMI, sensor data recorders, high‑speed storage solutions, perception, planning & control, safety and calibration applications that feed into the NVIDIA ADAS stack.
Responsibilities- Participate and lead engineering collaborations with internal/external engineering leads to drive system bring‑up of sophisticated vehicle hardware/software stacks.
- Lead the way to productize these components all the way into fleet‑scale production by crafting and advocating measurable engineering metrics.
- Dig into innovative hardware/software components to debug complex problems across sensors (Cameras, Radars, Lidars, etc.), network, perception and core underlying OS.
- Lead left‑shifting of tests into HIL and SIL platforms with the core set of issues hurting fleet.
- Conceptualize, architect and productize software tools that stem from root‑cause analysis of system and operational components, both vehicle‑specific and fleet‑wide.
- BS or MS degree in EE/CS or closely related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in the relevant field.
- Excellent programming skills in C++, C and Python along with source control tools like Git and Perforce.
- Knowledge of system programming, threading, mutex, synchronization, communication and parallel computing to build highly scalable and efficient applications.
- Strong debugging abilities in highly pipelined software stacks.
- Engineering leadership experience across cross‑matrixed organizations.
- Experience in automotive vehicle and/or robotic system fleet management systems.
- Demonstrated past experience in software integration across sophisticated software stacks and a drive toward productization.
- Knowledge of Linux, QNX, Android and/or other real‑time operating systems.
