AMG & Associates, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Safety Compliance Assistant to support our Safety Department. This position is responsible for reviewing and approving subcontractor safety documentation and insurance certificates to ensure compliance with company policies, contract requirements, and OSHA regulations. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities
  • Review and approve subcontractor safety documentation prior to project mobilization.
  • Review and approve Certificates of Insurance (COIs) to ensure compliance with subcontract requirements.
  • Track safety and insurance document expiration dates and obtain renewals.
  • Communicate with subcontractors to resolve missing or deficient documentation.
  • Maintain organized electronic safety and insurance records for all active projects.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Superintendents, regarding subcontractor compliance.
  • Maintain compliance logs and tracking spreadsheets.
  • Assist with subcontractor onboarding and project startup documentation.
  • Provide administrative support to the Safety Department.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in Safety, Business, or Construction is a plus.
  • 2-5 years of administrative experience in construction, safety, insurance, or compliance.
  • Experience reviewing Certificates of Insurance is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and construction safety documentation is a plus.
  • Experience with Procore or similar construction management software preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities.
