Summer Reading Program Volunteers - Interest List

Overview

The annual Summer Reading Program (SRP) is back at our public libraries. This year's theme is "Unearth a Story". During the seven-week program, residents of all ages are encouraged to read a variety of books and/or participate in craft or activity during the summer.

Volunteers who have signed up for the Summer Reading Program are required to attend one orientation session during the week before the program begins. See dates below.

ORIENTATION

LOCATION:

Newhall Library, 24500 Main Street.

• Friendly and engaging volunteers are needed to help sign up library members for the Summer Reading Program, hand out prizes for each milestone, and assist library staff with special programs, activities, crafts, games, and other duties as assigned.

• Age: 14 YO & 17 YO (Junior high and high school aged individuals only).
• Volunteers must commit to at least 2 hours a week during SRP, and commit to a total of at least 20 hours total for SRP.
• All interested volunteers must attend a mandatory training session before starting their volunteer assignment.

SRP program dates:
June 8 to July 24 (7 weeks).
