Our client, a premier motorsports organization in Santa Clarita, is seeking a Chassis Design Engineer II to support and elevate the performance of their state-of-the-art testing facilities. This is a high-impact role within an elite racing environment, contributing directly to advanced vehicle development programs.
Position OverviewThe Chassis Design Engineer II will provide advanced design engineering support for race vehicle development. Responsibilities include generating and analyzing design concepts, creating detailed CAD models and engineering drawings, and interpreting test data to drive performance improvements across chassis systems and components.
QualificationsBSME or MSME with 5+ years of experience in the automotive and/or motorsports industry Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics and chassis component design fundamentals 3+ years of direct experience in automotive chassis component and/or system design and analysis Proficiency in 3D modeling and 2D drawing creation Proficiency in tolerance analysis and GD&T Solid practical understanding of materials and manufacturing technologies relevant to chassis design Excellent communication skills with a strong team-oriented mindset Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

Mass-production automotive development CATIA V5/V6 Abaqus FEA Relevant Systems Experience (Preferred) Suspension & Stability Control Mounts & Subframes Braking & ABS Body-in-White / Body Structure Relevant Component Experience (Preferred) Wheels & Tires Suspension Components Braking System Components (Calipers, Pads, Discs, Lines) Aerodynamic Components Body Structure Reinforcements & Underbody Protection Equipment Racks & External Accessories
