Senior Electrical Engineer
Pay Range: $83.81hr - $88.81hr
Job OverviewThe Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing and analyzing analog and digital circuitry for medical systems.
Responsibilities- Design and analyze analog and digital circuitry for medical systems.
- Create and maintain engineering documentation including schematics, requirements, and BOMs.
- Participate in risk management activities in accordance with company procedures.
- Lead and participate in design reviews.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in analog and digital SMT circuit boards.
- Perform testing and analysis using laboratory equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes, specifications, and product quality.
- Write and manage system and subsystem requirements.
- Ensure engineering documentation complies with internal quality standards.
- Assist in the execution and documentation of test protocols and reports.
- Mentor Assemblers and Technicians on technical tasks.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of five years of electrical engineering experience in product development or similar environments.
- Experience with analog and digital circuit design, simulation, and analysis.
- Experience evaluating and selecting electrical components based on system requirements.
- Experience operating electrical test instruments including multimeters, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and signal generators.
- Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout review tools.
- Strong written and verbal technical communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, quality, regulatory, and manufacturing teams.
- Experience troubleshooting software-controlled analog and digital SMT circuit boards.
- Experience performing component-level testing and analysis.
- Experience creating engineering documentation including schematics, BOMs, and assembly drawings.
- Experience participating in design reviews and risk management activities.
- Experience supporting test protocol development and execution.
- Experience mentoring technical staff and supporting manufacturing teams.
- Experience with Altium Designer for schematic development and PCB layout.
- Experience in regulated industries, preferably Class II or III medical devices.
- Knowledge of ISO 14708, EN 60601, and FDA Quality System Regulations.
- Familiarity with firmware development and embedded systems.
- Background in systems engineering and requirements management.
- Experience with RF design up to the low GHz range.
- Analog and digital circuit design.
- PCB layout and schematic review.
- SMT circuit troubleshooting.
- Electrical testing and laboratory analysis.
- Systems engineering and requirements management.
- Engineering documentation and BOM management.
- Risk management and design review processes.
- Cross-functional collaboration and technical mentoring.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
- Advanced experience in medical device product development preferred.
