Position: 2nd Shift NDT Technician (M-F 3:30PM - 12AM)

Estimated hourly pay: $32.22 - $46.40. Plus, shift differential and overtime, if applicable

The NDT Test Technician 2 reports to the manufacturing supervisor and is responsible for inspecting and validating hardware per applicable processes (e.g. magnetic particle, ultrasonic, radiography, radioscopy, load tests, casting inspection, penetrate inspection), and writing non-conformance reports, in an industrial setting.

The position involves providing guidance to other members, works independently under limited supervision and problem solving.

Essential Functions Inspect and validate hardware per applicable processes (e.g., magnetic particle, ultrasonic, radiography, radioscopy, load tests, casting inspection, penetrate inspection).Develop inspection techniques and product dispositions in accordance with processing and engineering specifications.

Complete necessary paperwork and computer entries accurately and in a timely manner.

Communicate information to others about project status, updates, specific instructions, etc.

Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting using applicable equipment.

Treat materials and post clean parts per applicable work equipment.

Verify the calibration of equipment and expiration dates.

Identify, document and control non conforming material according to procedures.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Knowledge of and the ability to use a variety of basic hand tools (e.g., wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers, scrappers, box cutters).Knowledge of part special handling guidelines and specifications. This includes researching part-handling instructions using facility databases or work orders and following the handling procedures required.

Knowledge of continuous improvement processes to improve operational effectiveness.
