Hydraulics Test Engineer

JSG is hiring a Contract Test Engineer – Hydraulics in Santa Clarita, CA. Pay rate: $40‑$75 DOE.

• Lead mechanical and hydraulic engineering activities for aerospace test system projects.
• Design, analyze, and troubleshoot hydraulic systems including servo valves, actuators, manifolds, accumulators, and instrumentation.
• Develop and execute test plans to validate hydraulic and electromechanical systems.
• Perform root‑cause analysis and resolve complex technical issues.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, controls, and manufacturing teams.
• Drive process improvements to enhance quality, reliability, efficiency, and safety.
• Provide technical leadership and support project execution from design through testing.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required;
  Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering with strong hydraulic systems expertise.
• Experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting aerospace hydraulic or electromechanical systems.
• Proficiency in mechanical design, system analysis, and validation testing.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and project coordination skills.
