R&D Technician III

Location:

Valencia, CA 91355 Duration: 12 Months W2 Contract (High possibility of temp to hire) Pay Rate: $35.00 - $41.00/Hour on W2

This position works independently to assist R&D engineers, scientists, and/or teams in the development and analysis of products, materials, processes, or equipment. Will be working with hiring manager, along with other teams in department. Collaborative environment-

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop concepts and accordingly construct prototypes/products from concepts.
• Utilize basic mechanical drawing or CAD software (Solid Works) to document prototypes and fixtures.
• Develop prototype PCB design and layout using Altium or equivalent software
• Explore and propose creative solutions based on solid rationales and contribute to design and process concepts.
• Organize, coordinate, and execute building and testing of prototypes/products per engineering instructions.
• Assist project teams in establishing specifications and quality standards.
• Use internal resources and qualified external vendors to assist engineering teams to identify and obtain supplies and services.
• Act as a resource to other employees.
• Communicate project status to project teams.

Qualifications:

• AA Degree or equivalent work experience in related discipline and 3 years of related experience.
• Basic assembly experience
• Cables, fixtures
• Proven electrical capabilities
• Attention to detail
• Solid Works experience
• Experience reading schematics
